You are the judge

Come to my part of the world to witness how they battle tooth and nail, for what?

                     (Regret, pictures cannot be enlarged)

Approach to Jalan Batu Rakit Pantai

Coming into the road along the beach

From the sea crawls the turtle

We are watching you from up abovee

Under our shadow we assure you of your future

We have submarine

Ha, ha, we have a secret vehicle to deliver jet plane!

You don’t think we have a more fearsome fighter plane, do you?

And we have super rider

Not to mention our stuntmanl!

You are really forcing us to use our big gun

==================================

What a shame. While they are squabbling  we have come to cast our vote peacefully

And some of us are tired of waiting. It is so hot out there

===============================

And let me tell you all, my friends
The Judgment Day is sure to come.
Your worth will surely be weighed.

Be sure all that glitters is not gold

Let it not be as they say "Menang jadi arang, kalah jadi abu".

Berkhidmat kerana Tuhan untuk kemanusiaan

Dear Pakcik,
It's a circus all over again! Prompted by craze of power and money (and maybe principles to a lesser extent)they are prepared to throw everything to the winds - even to the point of spreading lies coupled with acts of violence and threats.
We can only gawk and laugh at some of the silliness. What a relief it'll be come tomorrow!

Dear Pakcik,
It's a 5 year ritual as of right. The loving wife Shadah and I will be there first thing in the morning!

Pakcik dan Makcik yang disayamgi,

Salam Pakcik telah disampaikan pada Sir Awang Goneng di PWTC tadi.

Selamat mengundi hari esok.

Ibu,Mommy,Mom,

Begitulah hebatnya perlombaan. Agaknya kita lah satu negara didunia yang terhebat sekali dalam pertandingan politik.

Akhi Hank,

I coulds guess you and Puan Shadah would never miss this once in every five years opportunity to choose your favourite. Would you like to buy mine for a small fee? I dislike the though of smearing my polished fingernails with ink!

I do not about you but I will for sure not go to bed until I hear who is the likely my next PM, not that I expect anything from him (or her?)

Dear Ninot,

What's wrong with Rawang candidate? You are avoiding Selangor, I guess.

I hope there was a good demand for your books. Children should be encouraged to enjoy Malay folk lores.

Hope your candidate will get there.

pakcik, the judgement day will be coming tomorrow. Hope you make the best.Don't you want to be a candidate for next four year? hehe. I'm kidding ^_^

Nur Syamimi,

I cannot afford to day dream at my age. There is more fun to stand aloof and enjoy life.

JUKJ DIN,

The first election was in 1955, before Merdeka. I was not yet eligible to vote then. Since then, believe it or not, I do not think I have gone voting more number of times than you. I was never in my home base for any length of time. Travelling was not so easy then.

WAKSalaam.
A pleasant-sounded tagline is easy to think of - but to live up to it is another matter, agree? Singgahlah bila masa mengizinkan.

Dear Pak Cik,
This is democracy and the theory is that, it is the best of the worst form of governance. So this is what it potrays.

Al-Manar said...

Akhi AHS,

Emocracy being "the best of the worst form of governance" is new to me. What have I got for dirtying my fingernwil?

It is time to consolidate, isn't it?

Hi Al-Manar, Love the creative, innovative elections pics....
I guess there must have been a lot of hot air around past month.
This happens everywhere there is an election.
Talk about global warming, ha ha ha.
Have a nice day, keep well.
Lee.

Memang mudah kita menilai orang lain, namun begitu sukar menilai diri sendiri.

Tahniah pada semua yang berjaya dalam PRU yang baru berlalu. Kini masa untuk mengotakan janji!

Uncle Lee

I know you have eyes for beauty but there is no beauty, just hot air, in those pictures. I went voting just to see how long the stain on my finger tip would last. My votes for the two candidates made no difference to the majory of over 1,000 but the stain lasted for two days.

It was a pleasure to share a fish head!

Those books are very good, not blikely to be found around here. Thank you, my dear.

WALKMSalaam Cikgu Humairi,

Memang mudah melihat kuman diseberang laut. Seluar carik dipunggong mana nak nampak.

Apa kita nak buat, tunggu sajalah. Kalau2 ada orang datang bawa sebakul ...

Kamariah Awang said...

Begitulah kreatifnya penyokong setiap parti. Memang meriah cikgu...

Al-Manar said...

Puan Kamariah Awang,

Begitulahnya. Semuanya berakhir dengan suka duka, menang kalah. Besar harapan saya.

Alhamdulillah, great to see you both again.

So near and yet so far. I guessed all along that our older folks had known one another better than we ever thought. It was nice to hear your mother reminiscing of our old loved ones.

I suppose you will now start packing again on your world tour. Some day, when you are free, bring your folks to our home.

I really miss this moment! But I did my part to vote as well in embassy. Unforgettable experience. :)

Al-Manar said...

Zafi,

Do you know if you do it at the embassy, it counts only half a point? So come back before GE14 if you want to earn your full point!

Assalamualaikum PakCik,

Ooo My! That's all I can say when looking at those very creative crafts exhibited for the "Udi" day. However, unfortunate speculations after the judgement day is still burning hot in the air.

Al-Manar said...

Omong Mak Long,

WAKSAlaam.
That is the political side we cannot run away from. Hopefully our children are perceptive enough to steer clear of wasteful activities, adding no real value to life.
