A forced rest

In brief:

There was more stealing of telephone cable for copper. Almanar line was down for four days; hence my excess to the cyber world was out. I have just heard that one of the two culprits was beaten up and died after three days in ICU with broken skull.

Stremyx line is well and healthy now but Pakcik, on the other hand, is under the weather. Hopefully, it would not too long before the old computer can begin to spin something.

Dear Pak Cik,
It's sad! How much do they get anyway! Those adventurous ones ended up rentung outside sub-stations. A pity!

Don't take too long Sir!

Pakcik,

All is not well but I hope you recover expeditiously. What a tragedy/crime.

The state of security here at home is not too good either. One after another of our neighbours were robbed in broad daylight at their gates while coming home or leaving...

Oh my .. Death sentence for stealing?.. Oops... I know it might be culpable homicide or something... Somebody might be just too pent up with anger perhaps..
May Allah grant Abang Hassan with swiftest recovery, maghfirah and rahmah..

Rest well, Pakcik.
Sorry that I can't find any book on choral speaking. My panitia has the guidelines though.

Pokcik Hassan, A Pause from time to time is good for the body. It breaks the monotony of the daily ritual. Get well soon, whatever that meant.

Have a nice day and take care.

Hank,

The culprits are addicts, literally 100% Melayu! Many of them are jobless or doing odd jobs.

Ninot,

Snatch thief, house bracking, you name it and we have it all in the rural areas. The fear is the cases involving those high on drug. Their actions are unpredictable.

Ruzita,

You see I am now beginning to respond to comments. That is a good sign. Thank you.

I regret that have yet to make a trip to your area.

C-f-S,

Feeling truly miserable I forced myself to cancel an afternoon class and, under strong pressure, I went to see the man who put things in my ear, my mouth and all over. The pressure range sounded high to me but he assured me that it was acceptable for my age! I wonder what is acceptable at my age, at any age for that matter.

Luckily we keep no cats in the house. Otherwise I know who to go after and what is not acceptable!

Thank you for the concern.

Ayah Wang,

Walau pun tak baik rasa juga dalam hati 'biar mampus'.

I personally feel that our police should go after the fence. I am sure they know who are involved in making really good money from the stolen copper. Go hard after these bastards.

Dah habis celebration? Kuih muih pun habis? Lepas lepas sakit terasa lah nak makan serba serbi.

Sintaicharles,

Do not worry my friend. It is not that important.

Pak Idrus,

You are right, no doubt. A good rest can do wonder. And that is just I will do now. I maY even close Almanar for during this short school holiday. After all I seem to have a stack of invitation cards which will begin from tommorrow, the 'akad nikah' of my sister's daughter-in-law.

Thank you for your kind words, Pask Idrus.

Cheqna,

I must get well before the many wedding invitations during these two weeks of school holidays. Agaknya tentu balik kampong.

Hope Pakcik is well again. Did you receive my email? Salam to Makci

Nur Akmar,

Thank you. I will respond shortly.

Dear PakCik,
May you be in good health always. There are things we can control and things that better be left to be solved by those in power. We should not be held to ransom by the rascals who prey on the copper cables and they deserved what they received.

Oh dear Pakcik, didn't know of your condition. Sent an sms to you when in KT but didn't get any reply from you. I'm now back in AlorStar earlier than planned and back to www. Back at my MIL, without my lappie and wifi connection I too was kept away from latest updates.

I shall pray Pakcik getting back on your feet and 'kicking' again.. It won't be meriah without your usual 'celoteh's.

Nur Akmar,

Regret for this delay. I have received your email and responded. Pakcik will email again.
