Awakened - Enlightened

Taken 6 pm 15/3/12

I woke up this morning to find in my email the following poem. It came from our house guest who arrived with her family quarter to midnight last night. On arrival she commented hearing in the dark the sound of waves beating the shore – hence this poem, perhaps

Sleep well, Rudy, Ninot and your three lovely girls.

UNTITLED

had forgotten the sound of the waves
Crashing, hitting, arriving
Against the wide ranging beach

sandy white

At the edge of our little world

How tiny we are, the space we live in

Compared to the vastness

they travess

Powerful winds

Reminds one of our insignificance

The forces of the universe

Supreme creation

To be so close

To the edge of time and matter

Where it does not matter

Awakened. Enlightened.

Dear Pak Cik,
When you post a poem there must be something special that prompted it. True enough! And it is such a lovely poem! Leave it to Ma'am Ninot! And you are playing host to Ma'am and family. How nice! Happy School holidays!

I did not open my internet in KT)..

Dear Pakcik,
To think we almost did not make it! With the kids not too well and work/writing escalating, I was sure we would not have the strength to pull it off. Plus, Rudi has to be in Kelantan tomorrow. And Sasha's kittens!

The thing is, if Allah S.W.T decides you will be in KT, you will be. i have never slept even one night in KT. as a child, we used to have family hols in Kemaman and Chendor but that was about it.

Needless to say, it was the loveliest holiday. The breeze, the nasi dagang - best of all, I bumped into not one, not two, but FOUR old friends! Two atPrimula, one in Kerteh and one in Kuantan. Plus I met yet another storyteller at the spa! All will be revealed over at ninotazizpurplemusings.blogspot.com

I am not such a good oplanner for this to happen, so it must be the planning of a higher order. Alhamdulillah.

All I can say is, Pakcik, your hospitality and time shared will be a quiet cherished moment by me and Rudi. And the girls loved the instant friendship shared with Aisyah and Adam.

It was the perfect getaway.

Ayoh Wang, shall we make that union at my place next? Pakcik?

Salam to Makcik, Ainun and the family, including Aziz. That sunrise , glorious golden with stay with me aand Iraani Insyaallah for a long, long time.
