Moment to Reflect ( Pt 7 ) - I – Who am I?

5.30 pm today.

From our home we noticed,
An inviting scene.
We walked down.
And stood there.
Words unspoken.

Just watch.
Just admire.

Vast
Endless

The marvel of the Great Creator
Aku bertafakkur sejenak.

Pakcik,

'The marvel of the Great Creator'

Melihat kejadian alam lalu mengingati kebesaran Allah swt juga merupakan 'zikrullah'

Subhanallah

Dear Pak Cik,
You are giving us an insight of a real time phenomena. The East Coast this time of the year may be different than usual. All showing how helpless and small we are and the wonder of Providence!

Ah.. the benefit of staying close to the beach.
We are asked to looked at His creation.. so that we can feel how graet is Our creator.
Thank you for sharing your heartfelt observation and admiration..

Pakmail,

'Zikrullah'. Betul lah tu. Berapa panjang masa yang ada dihadapan kita ialah satu yang tak terduga. Kita ingat dan berzikir.

Al-Manar said...

Hank,

Once in a while we stand, stare and seek to unrravel the mysterious environment. As Pakmail said above - 'zikrullah' that our life and that of our family is blessed.

Ayah Wang,

The two of us are very lucky to have a home where we are, meeting all that we need during our autumn days. I share this with my cyber friends. On the other hand, every where we turn our face and care to ponder we see signs of His creation.

You are certainly somebody in His eyes, as you humbly uphold taqwa values.

Dear Pak Cik,
Sometimes they ramble on and we haven't a clue of what they say. I realize later that it is part of the fun. Those more considerate would have a 'Process note' to explain how they got there.

Response to comments in Rainbow. And thanks for the visit

Thank you for enlightening me on this. I can only see at best a sketchy picture of possible meaning in the first level below what is written. You people seem to read at a mysterious deeper level, not unlike the surface of the stormy sea I have pictured above.

Salam Pakcik,

Permit me to relate my experience on the power of waves. A few years ago, I was working on a project on the east coast of UAE. A storm had come in during the night, causing our 40m long barge to break free from its moorings. The waves pushed it ashore and it got stuck by some rocks just a few metres from the edge of the beach, not quite near enough for us to jump onboard.

Me and one of my staff just stood there on the beach in the freezing cold, watching the waves pound on the barge over and over. It was in danger of being freed from the rock trap and could either be pushed to crash into other seaside structures or simply float away to the vast ocean.

My staff offered to jump into the water, swim over to the barge with a rope and tie it down. I said no. I'd rather lose a barge than lose a life.

The storm raged on for a few more hours... and in those few hours, I felt so small and humble as I prayed to the Almighty for help...

Dear Pak Cik,
Emulating this posting by looking outside from the house and recording it for posterity in pictures and a verse. Check out 'Jambu' in my Rainbow posted last night. I'm off to Alor Star for a about a week to attend a marriage (someone else' for sure!)

Oldstock,

Yours is an exceptional experience indeed. I cannot imagine working off-shore no matter what the financial attraction is.

An experience you went through exhibited your qualities in many ways. You can evaluate them and be proud to tell yourself with conviction that you are this and this, and not that and that.

But I do not wish to be evaluated that way. I play safe; a coward, maybe. Aren't you going to write a full posting of that heroic event?

Hank,

You seem to be able to pick any subject to work on. Congratulations. And have a good time up north

Dear Pakcik,

How lovely to have the sea as part of your playground and view. Alhamdulillah.

And it inspires you to verse and beautiful words!
Alhamdulillah!

Dear PakCik,
You are Blessed with the Gift of ALLAH S.W.T. right in front of you, where you are reminded at all times of His Grandeur and Magnificence. Your poetry is really mesmerising. Keep it up.

Ninot,

When you've grown old
So you are being told
Nothing pleases you more
standing by the shore

Before deciding to build a home here we had a choice of a site by a river. The fear was the annual flooding. How I dreamt of a small wooden jetty where I would anchor a boat. Fortunately I have no regret. HE has given us the best of everything for our need.

I know you have many good things. Appreciate them and be thankful.

Al-Manar said...

AHS,

Don't try to flatter me, my friend. You will not make a poet of me. I will read yours and Ninot's and pretend I can understand.

Salaam to you and family.

abdulhalimshah said...

Dear PakCik,
Flattery is not me,
You have the will
To be or not to be
Just polish your skill
It is a pleasure to be.

AHS,

Where I am let me be
I know it's too much for me
